And then the 10km classic...

Well, I think it's safe to say that this race was not my best. It wasn't my worst, but definitely not my best. The morning of, I woke up with a sore throat but I'm not going to blame that because my energy still felt decent. The course was quite hard; lots of climbing and fast downhills and I wanted to make sure I started out nice and relaxed so I wouldn't blow up after the first lap. I found it a bit hard to snap out of the relaxed pace though, this has happened to me before and is something I need to work on. My second lap felt much better than the first but still not great. I knew it was better because I was skiing technically better and was able to get up every hill without having to step out of the tracks like I did the first lap. Even though it wasn't the best race for me I still managed to get a good picture!

David on the other hand has a great race! He was 3rd overall and 1st U23...which means he's going to Turkey too!!  The first time I went to WJC was in France and it was Davids first time going too, it was nice that we could both go and I'm very happy we can go together again!

Next are Westerns here in Canmore. I am still fighting the cold from earlier this week so my fingers are crossed that I will get over it in time for the first race!
