Finally the RELAY!

Well, here was some fun! Our relay team (Dahria Beatty, me, Anne-Marie Comeau and to finish off, Emilie Stewart-Jones) started in 11th position. Lots of room for improvement, and improve we did!

Dahria started us off well, I think she came into the stadium to tag off to me in 7th or 8th place; a great start.

 I skied my butt off and made a bit of ground on the two girls ahead of me. I skied my whole lap on my own, it would have been nice to have a girl with me to push me but I just had to make sure I did that on my own. At the start I got into a rhythm and though Ok, this is good, just keep this for a bit and then pick it up near the end, then I remembered that the lap is only 3.3km! So I had to snap out of that right away and just give'r for the remaining 2.5km. Coming into the stadium I could hear a girl had caught up to me and was now skiing right on my ski tails - so annoying! She passed me right in the last 20 meters before the tag off zone unfortunately.

  

Then it was Anne-Marie's turn to ski. She had a great leg as well, holding our position and skiing strong. Anne-Marie placed 18th in the pursuit race two days before - the best result for the juniors and she's only 15! Here she is tagging off to Emilie S-J to finish off the race.

Emilie had a strong finish. Again she held our position and she out sprinted the girl coming in to the line right behind her
